We Do NOT Sell Your Data
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information or document data to third parties for marketing or any other purposes. Your data is only shared with service providers necessary to operate the Service, as described in Section 8.
1. Information We Collect
When you use Juridion AI, we collect:
- Account Information: Email address and authentication data via Google Sign-In
- Uploaded Documents: Legal documents you upload for processing (PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, and image files up to 50 MB per file, 200 MB total per session)
- Generated Content: AI-generated legal drafts created from your inputs
- TOC/TOA Processing: Documents submitted for Table of Contents/Table of Authorities generation
- Credit Transactions: Purchase history and credit usage for billing purposes
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our service
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Process your documents and generate legal drafts using AI
- Generate Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities for your documents
- Authenticate your identity and maintain account security
- Process credit purchases and track usage
- Improve our services and user experience
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI Processing
Your documents are processed using Anthropic's Claude AI. Key points:
- PII Detection: Before AI processing, documents are analyzed locally using Microsoft Presidio and spaCy NLP for named entity recognition. This processing occurs entirely on our infrastructure with no data sent to external services.
- PII Sanitization: Real names and sensitive information are replaced with placeholders before being sent to the AI. Your actual client names never leave your account.
- Sanitized documents are sent to Anthropic's API for processing
- Anthropic does not use API inputs for model training (per their commercial API terms)
- Processing occurs in secure, encrypted environments
- AI interaction logs (containing only sanitized text with PII placeholders, never real names) are retained for up to 7 days for quality assurance, debugging, and abuse prevention, then automatically and permanently deleted
3.1 TOC/TOA Processing
The Table of Contents/Table of Authorities tool processes your documents on our servers to extract citations and generate field codes. Documents submitted for TOC/TOA processing are:
- Processed immediately and returned to you
- Not retained on our servers after processing
- PII-sanitized before citation analysis — the same automatic PII detection and placeholder substitution used in drafting is applied before any document text is sent to Anthropic's API for citation and heading identification
3.2 File Upload Limits
- Maximum per file: 50 MB
- Maximum total upload: 200 MB per session
- Maximum files per category: 20 files (Pleadings, Facts, Research)
- Accepted formats: PDF, DOCX, DOC, TXT, PNG, JPG, JPEG, TIFF
4. Data Retention
We retain data according to the following policies:
- Uploaded Documents: Automatically deleted within 24 hours of processing
- Generated Exports: Automatically deleted within 24 hours
- TOC/TOA Processed Documents: Not retained (returned immediately)
- Account Information: Retained while your account is active
- Credit Balances: Retained while your account is active
- Purchase History: Retained for 7 years (tax compliance)
- Audit Logs: Retained for 90 days for security purposes
5. Draft History Feature
Juridion AI includes an optional Draft History feature that allows you to access your previously generated motion packets.
What IS Saved (Draft History):
- The generated motion packet (JSON export data only)
- Metadata: case name, motion type, timestamp, document titles
- This data is saved to your account until you delete it or delete your account
What is NEVER Saved:
- Your uploaded documents (PDFs, Word files) - These are deleted IMMEDIATELY after your draft is generated
- OCR'd text from your documents - Deleted with the job directory
- Original source files - Never persisted beyond the processing session
Opt-Out: You can disable Draft History at any time in Account Settings. When disabled, generated drafts are not saved to your account and cannot be retrieved after you leave the page.
6. Credit System Data
Juridion AI uses two credit systems: Drafting Credits and TOC/TOA Credits.
- Credit Balances: Stored securely in your Firebase account
- Purchase History: Transaction records retained for 7 years for tax/accounting compliance
- Usage Logs: Credit deductions logged for 90 days for billing support
- Payment Details: Processed by Stripe; we never store your full card numbers
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- All data transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Data at rest is encrypted on our infrastructure
- Authentication via secure Firebase/Google OAuth
- File upload validation (type, size, filename sanitization)
- Regular security audits and monitoring
8. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google/Firebase: Authentication services and data storage
- Anthropic: AI processing (Claude API)
- Modal: Cloud infrastructure for document processing
- Vercel: Frontend hosting
- Stripe: Payment processing (we do not store your payment card details; they are processed and stored securely by Stripe)
Note: PII detection software (Microsoft Presidio and spaCy NLP) runs locally on our infrastructure and does not transmit data to external services.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Delete individual drafts from Draft History
- Delete PII maps for specific cases
10. Attorney-Client Privilege
We understand the importance of attorney-client privilege. While we implement strong security measures, users should be aware that uploading confidential client documents to any cloud service may have implications for privilege. We recommend:
